Since September 2015, the Villa built by René Lalique in 1920 has had a new lease of life. At the initiative of Silvio Denz, Chairman and CEO of Lalique, it has become the sumptuous setting for a 5-star hotel and gourmet restaurant, awarded 2 stars in the MICHELIN guide in January 2016, just three months after its opening. And since January 2019, the Villa has been a member of the prestigious "Les Grandes Tables du Monde" association.
Since 2020, Paul Stradner, Head Chef since 2017 at the Villa René Lalique, has been gradually taking on the role of Chef, proudly following in the footsteps of his mentor, Jean-Georges Klein. Chef Paul Stradner, who is at the helm of the restaurant, designed by internationally renowned Swiss architect Mario Botta, is surrounded by a brigade of some fifteen people for this haute cuisine restaurant. Alongside him, Pastry Chef Jonathan Bunel draws inspiration from produce sourced from the heart of the Northern Vosges region to create his mouthwatering, sugared creations. Alsatian Head Sommelier, Romain Iltis, oversees an exceptional wine cellar, one of the finest in Europe, with no fewer than 60,000 bottles to choose from, while Restaurant Manager Hervé Schmitt choreographs the service, beautifully setting the scene with Lalique's iconic tableware.
